By and large the last month has been a year. It has truly been what you would call a time warp. To the outside world, it was just 45 days, but if you ask any Spartans ( thats the name we were bestowed upon ) they would just say 45 days? We already have mid terms and quizzes and what not. We have projects, assignments and studies which were supposed to be finished yesterday. Thats a funny feeling when you are doing an MBA, whenever you do something you feel something should have been done yesterday.
And thats the reason why it feels like an year.
We have been siting with new strangers turned friends into the darkness of night or even welcoming the sun into our fold. The college for once feels like ours and here at least, our thoughts are unchallenged. This is a modern gurukul, in the true sense of the word. There are no teachers here; they are only the light houses which make the night sea a bit better sea. But sail we still have to on our own self. The reason: If we can make through this dark sea, the rest would be the calm ocean with a strong gale in favor of our destination.
Thoughts are unlimited here; ideas zing by every person. Though more than half are trashed into the bin by the time one waketh for the fodder but ideas are important nevertheless. You could be tempted to believe we are living in a greek world with indians running the show; you would be forgiven. Every body in this college is a think tank and, if it's not too cliched already, a light by themselves.
Waking up at 5.30 I almost see the sunrise everyday. Its a beautiful sight, the sun bathing the college with its morning rays. Almost as if kissing and waking it up. Walking around the college, you can expect to find a professor coming for breakfast, girls and boys coming back from the gym and if you can concentrate just a bit enough there would be a group discussing the headlines of today's paper. You can expect to find people studying in the arch just near the basket ball court and well you began to wonder whether you are walking amidst demi-gods of management already.
The college will start in sometime and people are not only waking up and finishing what had to be finished yesterday, but also preparing themselves for the day ahead. For everyday here is something new, something different. And with each passing day you just dont grow wiser, you grow younger.
